You can remove individual survey submissions at any time when a row should not count toward your totals—for example pilot tests, accidental submissions, spam, or outliers that distort charts and averages. Deletion happens in Analysis → Responses; it does not replace editing answers in place, which Responsly does not support.
When deleting responses helps
- Testing: You filled the survey while building it and those rows should disappear before real data arrives.
- Data quality: One bad or duplicate submission skews NPS, means, or funnel metrics.
- Reporting: You want exports and dashboards to match the dataset you will stand behind.
If you need a record before removal, export your survey data first.
Delete a response step by step
- Open the survey and go to Analysis → Responses.
- Review the list of individual submissions for that form.
- Click the trash bin icon above the table to remove single responses you no longer want in the dataset.
After deletion, aggregate reports and downloads reflect the remaining submissions only.
To reduce duplicate completions going forward, see Prevent survey duplicate submissions.
