Use Compare the answer when you want quizzes, tests, or training checks to tell people which option was right—right after they answer or when you surface summary content toward the end of the form. Pair this with quiz setup and scoring when you also need points or graded outcomes.
Mark correct answers and show feedback
- Create a Choice, Picture, or Dropdown question and add the text and answer options you need.
- You can also add an open-ended (text) question for explanations or reflections.
- Define which answer is correct by adding a statement field where feedback should appear. Click the
$icon and choose Compare the answer. - In the window that opens, select the question and the correct answer option.
- Click Add to input so the comparison is wired into that statement.
- Click Preview, submit test responses (correct and incorrect), and confirm the correct answer text shows when you expect.
