Created a free account and cannot get back in? In most cases you only need a password reset or Google / Microsoft sign-in. Follow the steps below — from the fastest self-service fix to contacting support — so you can return to your surveys.
Why sign-in fails
On the login page you first enter your E-mail address. If Responsly cannot find that address, you see Sorry, we couldn’t find an account with this email. That usually means one of these:
- a typo in the email address,
- you registered with a different email than the one you are typing now,
- a mistyped or forgotten password (after the email is recognized),
- you signed up with Google or Microsoft, so there is no separate Responsly password.
Check the email first. Reset the password only after you are sure it is the address on the account.
Reset a forgotten password
- Open the login page.
- Enter your E-mail address and click Login. When the password field appears, click Forgot your password?
- Or go straight to Forgot Password, enter your email, and click Send reset instructions.
- Open your inbox and find the message from Responsly. If it is missing, check Spam or search for “password”.
- Open the link in the email, set a new password, and save it.
- Return to the login page and sign in with the new password.
If you are already signed in and only want a new password, change it under My account → Profile → Security. The full reset walkthrough is in How do I reset my password?
Note. If you created the account with Google or Microsoft, a password reset email will not arrive. Use Login with Google or Login with Microsoft instead.
You signed up with Google or Microsoft
Registration can use Register with Google or Register with Microsoft instead of a password. That account has no separate Responsly password.
- Open the login page.
- Click Login with Google or Login with Microsoft.
- Choose the same provider account you used when you created Responsly.
If you forgot the Google or Microsoft password, recover it with that provider. Responsly’s forgot-password form will not help in that case.
Company workspaces that use SSO should click Login with SSO and sign in through the company identity provider.
You did not get the reset email
If nothing arrives within 15 minutes:
- check Spam and Promotions,
- search the inbox for “Responsly” or “password”,
- confirm you typed the same email you used at sign-up,
- try Login with Google or Login with Microsoft — that may be how you created the account,
- contact us from the Contact page or help@responsly.com. Include the registration email and what you see on the login screen. You do not need to be signed in.
Your free account is still there
A free account does not disappear when you sign out or leave it unused for a few days. It stays attached to the email from registration.
If you can sign in but cannot send a survey or some options are locked, that is usually a plan or response limit or a suspended or closed workspace — not a lost login. Sign in and open Plan & Billing, or see pricing.
If you turned on two-factor authentication, you still need the authenticator code (or a recovery code) after the password. Losing the phone without those codes is a support case, not a password reset.
Once you are back in, return to your forms or start from How to create a survey.
If you meant to close the workspace instead of recovering it, see How do I delete my Responsly account?
